Surprisingly, Dean Windass has been officially credited with the equalising goal against Portsmouth in November, even though everyone bar Windass himself was convinced it was a Noe Pamarot own goal.
Still, it means that Windass has a Premier League goal for Hull City to his name. With January and all the madness that brings, and the player's own public disillusionment with his lot, it could turn out to be the only one. If he does leave in the next month, the goal also ensures that he goes on the Tigers' roll of honour for the oldest goalscorer in the club's history. Most fitting.
